NDC Grassroots Energised By Jabari’s Intervention

The grassroots of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency have been energised following a major intervention by a leading party figure, Solomon Reuben Jabari, who has pledged to sponsor nomination forms for all aspirants in the upcoming branch elections.
The move, which many party faithful describe as unprecedented, is expected to remove financial barriers and significantly boost participation in the party’s internal electoral process.
In a public notice, Mr. Jabari announced that he would personally bear the full cost of nomination forms for every interested applicant. According to him, the initiative is intended to promote inclusivity and ensure equal opportunities for all qualified members, regardless of their financial capacity.
“I have decided to personally pay for the cost of nomination forms for all applicants in the upcoming branch elections,” he stated, stressing his commitment to strengthening the party’s foundation at the grassroots level.
Nomination forms, according to the timetable, will be available online from May 2 to May 16, 2026, while the branch elections are scheduled to take place on May 20, 2026.
Political analysts say the intervention could increase competitiveness and participation within the constituency, leading to the emergence of more dynamic and representative leadership at the branch level.
Supporters of Mr. Jabari have lauded the gesture, describing it as a demonstration of visionary leadership, unity, and dedication to the growth of the party.
They believe such initiatives are crucial in energising the party’s base and positioning it strongly for future electoral contests.
The branch elections form part of the NDC’s broader restructuring agenda aimed at consolidating its grassroots support and enhancing organisational effectiveness across the country.
Party members and aspiring candidates have therefore been encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity and actively participate in the electoral process.
