Two Injured In Adiembra Road Crash
A driver and his mate are receiving treatment at the Nyinahin Government Hospital after sustaining severe injuries in a road accident at Adiembra in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region.
The accident occurred when the vehicle they were travelling in reportedly lost control and crashed.
Speaking to SWIFTNEWS3, the Assembly Member for the him diembra Electoral Area, Ibra Issahak, said the two victims sustained serious injuries and were immediately rushed to the Nyinahin Government Hospital for treatment.
Medical officials have indicated that the victims are responding to treatment but remain under observation due to the severity of their injuries.
Mr. Issahaku expressed concern about the increasing number of accidents recorded on the stretch, calling on authorities to improve road safety measures, including the provision of appropriate road signs and other safety interventions.
The police have visited the scene and commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
The damaged vehicle has since been towed from the road to facilitate the free movement of other road users.
The Atwima Mponua District has recorded several road accidents in recent months, with road safety advocates continuing to urge motorists to exercise caution, particularly when using rural roads.
