Driver, Mate Found Dead At Nkawkaw Hotel; Manager, Security Guard Arrested

A driver and his mate have been found dead under mysterious circumstances in a hotel room at Elsie Hotel in Nkawkaw in the Kwahu West Municipality of the Eastern Region.

The deceased have been identified as Emmanuel Ayisi, 37, and his mate, Emmanuel Dankyi.

According to police sources, the two men were travelling from Donkorkrom and arrived in Nkawkaw late, prompting them to lodge at the hotel with plans to continue their journey the following day.

However, they were later found unresponsive in their room, raising suspicion over the circumstances surrounding their deaths.

The incident was reported to the police, who immediately visited the scene to begin investigations.

The bodies have since been conveyed to the Holy Family Hospital Mortuary in Nkawkaw for preservation and autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

Meanwhile, the manager of Elsie Hotel and a security guard have been arrested to assist police with ongoing investigations.

The Ghana Police Service says investigations are underway to establish the exact circumstances leading to the deaths and determine whether any foul play was involved.
