Okada Rider Dies While Performing Stunts

A 19-year-old Okada rider has reportedly died in a tragic accident while displaying his motorcycle riding skills at the funeral rites of a colleague at Offinso in the Ashanti Region.

The incident occurred on the evening of Wednesday, August 19, 2026, when the deceased reportedly collided with a KIA Rhino vehicle while performing stunts during the funeral.

According to eyewitnesses, the rider was among a group of Okada riders who had gathered at the funeral to display their riding skills when the accident occurred.

Witnesses who spoke to reporters said the collision resulted in the rider sustaining severe injuries.

He was subsequently pronounced dead, while his body was conveyed to a morgue by the police.

The identity of the deceased was not immediately known as of the time of filing this report.

Police have since commenced investigations into the accident to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and formally identify the deceased.
