Obuasi Municipal Assembly Distributes Cement, Iron Rods to Assembly Members

The Obuasi Municipal Assembly has distributed 1,412 bags of cement and 1,235 iron rods to Assembly Members to support the implementation of community-initiated development projects across the municipality.
The distribution, which benefited all 19 elected Assembly Members, is aimed at helping them initiate new projects or complete ongoing ones within their respective electoral areas. The support, captured in the Assembly’s 2025 Budget, is also intended to address stalled projects and motivate Members who are yet to embark on any development initiatives to do so.
Presenting the items at a brief ceremony, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Faustilove Appiah-Kannin, said the intervention reflects her administration’s commitment to promoting grassroots development through Assembly Members.
She cautioned that the materials must be used solely for their intended purposes for the benefit of the communities, stressing that any form of diversion would not be tolerated.
Hon. Faustilove further commended Assembly Members for their dedication to their electoral areas and urged them to continue supporting the government’s development agenda at the local level.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Assembly Members, the Presiding Member, Hon. James Adabour, expressed appreciation to the Assembly for the support. He assured Management that the materials would be used responsibly and strictly for their intended purposes, and thanked the MCE and her team for the initiative.
