Delegates Rally Behind Jabari In Atwima Kwanwoma

The chairmanship bid of Captain (Rtd.) Reuben Solomon Jabari in the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has received a significant boost after nearly 100 delegates from eight polling stations publicly rallied behind his candidature.

The delegates, drawn from the Saviour, Adumasa and Afratia electoral areas, declared their support for Captain Jabari when they paid a solidarity visit to his residence on Sunday.

The development has provided a major boost to the campaign of the former Island City Branch Chairman as the race for the constituency chairmanship gathers momentum.

The delegation comprised delegates from two polling stations at Saviour, four at Adumasa and two at Afratia.

They were led by Isaac Duah, popularly known as Prof., the Electoral Coordinator for the Saviour, Adumasa and Afratia electoral areas.

Why Jabari

Speaking on behalf of the delegates, Mr Duah said their decision to support Captain Jabari was based on his vision, commitment and practical interventions aimed at improving the welfare of party members.

He said the delegates had closely followed Captain Jabari’s activities and were convinced that he had demonstrated a genuine commitment to the grassroots.

Mr Duah cited Captain Jabari’s “Fund Me Go” loan initiative, which seeks to create financial opportunities and provide support for NDC members, as one of the initiatives that had impressed the delegates.

He explained that the initiative demonstrated Captain Jabari’s understanding of the economic challenges confronting party members and his willingness to explore practical ways of supporting them.

He also mentioned Captain Jabari’s intervention in the rehabilitation of deteriorated roads in parts of the electoral area as another reason for their support.

According to him, the candidate responded promptly after concerns about the poor condition of some roads were brought to his attention.

“These are unprecedented interventions, and they have strengthened our confidence in him,” Mr Duah stated.

Team Jabari

The Electoral Coordinator further praised Team Jabari for its energy, organisation and commitment throughout the campaign.

He said the level of organisation exhibited by the campaign team had convinced many grassroots members that Captain Jabari had the capacity to lead the constituency and bring a new dynamism to the party’s activities.

Mr Duah said the delegates were prepared to work with Team Jabari to ensure that Captain Jabari emerged victorious in the chairmanship contest.

He expressed confidence that the candidate would provide leadership that prioritised the concerns and welfare of ordinary party members.

Jabari Responds

Captain Jabari expressed gratitude to the delegates for the confidence reposed in him and assured them that he would not disappoint them if given the mandate.

He pledged to remain accessible to party members, promising that his doors would be open to them 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Captain Jabari said the welfare of party members would be a key priority of his administration if elected.

He stressed that party members who sacrificed their time, energy and resources for the NDC deserved to be recognised and appropriately rewarded.

He called for constituency leadership that would be responsive to the concerns of the grassroots and ensure that members felt valued and appreciated.

Confident Of Victory

Captain Jabari also expressed optimism about his chances of winning the contest, saying the growing support from delegates had strengthened his resolve to work harder.

He appealed to the delegates to remain committed to his candidature and confident in his vision for the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency.

He further pledged to work with all stakeholders and party members to build a stronger and more united constituency if given the mandate.
