Akyerɛmade Landlords and Ladies Association Donate 15 Plastic Chairs to Support School Library

The Akyerɛmade Landlords and Landladies Association in the Atwima Kwanwoma District has donated 15 plastic chairs to the Akyerɛmade Basic School to improve seating at the school’s library.
The donation, made on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, was funded through contributions from members of the association.

Speaking to SWIFTNEWS3 Online, the Chairman of the association, Elder Kwaku Agyenim Boateng, who serves as a Lecturer in African Studies and Entrepreneurship at the Presbyterian University, Ghana, Faculty of Law, Santasi–Kumasi Campus, said the gesture was inspired by the need observed during their meetings.
“Sometimes when it rains, we move our meetings to the library, and we noticed there were only three chairs. That pushed us to step in and support the school,” he said.

He added that, as an elder of the Church of Pentecost in Buokrom, he believes community development is a spiritual responsibility that contributes to long-term progress.
The Headmaster, Mr. Asante Samuel, thanked the association for their generosity and called on old students, philanthropists, and corporate bodies to support the school in addressing its numerous needs.

PTA Chairman, Mr. Domfeh, also expressed appreciation for the donation.
Elder Agyenim Boateng encouraged students to cultivate good reading habits to boost their academic performance. He praised Prof. Ofosu, who built the school library, and urged landlords and landladies yet to join the association to come on board.

He also commended a lady teacher of the school, Madam Ama Agyemang who assists the association by giving them the library keys to gain access and to have their meetings.
Members who accompanied him included the Financial Secretary, Mr. Nelson; Welfare Officer, Mr. Adjanor Mensah; and the Organiser, Mr. Sampson Manu, popularly known as Papa Yaw.
The Assembly Member for the area, Akwasi Agyapong, also known as Sunday, commended the association and appealed to others in the community to emulate their example.
