Stubborn Hearts Deny All Blacks Victory at Swedru Stadium

Swedru All Blacks’ search for a first win in four matches continued on Saturday afternoon after they were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw by Hearts of Oak at the Swedru Sports Stadium.
Despite creating the better chances across both halves, the hosts failed to find the back of the net, leaving their fans stunned as several glorious opportunities went begging.
With strong backing from their home supporters, All Blacks dominated large spells of the encounter and carved out the clearer openings. Their closest moment came late in the first half when a powerful strike beat stand-in goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi but rattled the upright, much to the disbelief of the Swedru faithful.
Hearts of Oak, still recovering from last Sunday’s painful home defeat to arch-rivals Asante Kotoko, looked second best for long periods. However, they depended heavily on their defensive discipline to avoid suffering a second straight loss.
Goalkeeper Agbasi was particularly outstanding, producing crucial saves to deny All Blacks—especially during the closing minutes when the home side mounted intense pressure in search of a winner.
Despite their dominance, All Blacks failed to make their chances count and remain in a worrying spell, with just one victory in their last eight matches. The solitary point, however, keeps their solid home record itact.
The draw by Hearts of Oak means they are now unbeaten in five away matches. However, their chances of winning the league is gradually fading as the teams above them are also extending their kead on the league log.
