Decomposed Body Found in Uncompleted Building

Residents of Baniekrom in the Ahafo Ano South West District of the Ashanti Region have been thrown into a state of fear following the discovery of a decomposed body in an uncompleted building.

The identity of the deceased remains unknown, as a large part of the body had already decomposed at the time it was found.

The incident came to light at about 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, after a strong, foul odour emanating from the abandoned structure raised suspicion.

A farmer, who was on his way to his farm, reportedly detected the smell and traced it to the building, where he discovered the lifeless body and raised an alarm.

Police officers were subsequently called to the scene to retrieve the remains, which were later buried.

The discovery has sparked panic among residents, who are calling on the police to launch thorough investigations into the incident.

Assemblyman for the area, Hon. Asare Kingsley, has also appealed to the police to intensify efforts to establish the identity of the deceased and determine the cause of death.
