39 Arrested In Police Raid On Suspected Drug, Sex Trade Hub At Manso Hiakose

A coordinated police operation has led to the arrest of 39 individuals at a hotel in Manso Hiakose, believed to be a hotspot for narcotics use and commercial sex work.
The swoop, carried out on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, was led by ASP Noah Yakpa of the Nkawie Division, following intelligence that the facility—allegedly operated by one Philomina Nkansah—was being used for illegal activities.
SwiftNews3 Online has gathered that officers arrived at the hotel to find several individuals openly smoking substances suspected to be narcotics. Ten Nigerian women and 29 men were arrested on the spot.
A further search of the premises, conducted in the presence of Nkansah’s son, uncovered a range of suspected narcotic substances and items, including tramadol tablets, “wee toffee,” dried leaves believed to be Indian hemp, condoms, laptops, scissors, lighters, power banks, mobile phones, cigarettes, and cash totalling GH¢20,153.
All suspects have been detained as investigations continue, while the exhibits have been secured at the charge office for further action.
