Two Traders Critically Injured After Wall Collapse at Suame Roundabout

A tragic accident at Suame Roundabout in the Suame Municipality has left two female traders in critical condition after a wall collapsed on them in the early hours of Tuesday, September 9, 2025.
The wall, according to eyewitnesses, came crashing down after a vehicle belonging to Rango Constructions, the firm executing the Suame Interchange project, rammed into it.
“The collapsed wall hit them very hard. One of the victims had her legs broken while the other was trapped under the wall with serious injuries,” a witness recounted.
The victims were quickly pulled out of the rubble by bystanders and rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), where they are currently receiving treatment. Their conditions have been described as critical.
The police have since taken over the matter and commenced investigations to determine the exact circumstances that led to the accident.
Meanwhile, the incident has reignited concerns among residents and road users over the safety protocols surrounding ongoing construction works in the Suame enclave.
