Obuasi West MCE Expresses Gratitude, Vows to Deliver on Key Projects

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Obuasi West, Faustilove Appiah Kannin, has expressed her heartfelt appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama for the trust and confidence reposed in her.

Speaking during a thanksgiving service, Madam Appiah Kannin also extended her gratitude to the Assembly Members for their overwhelming support during her confirmation, emphasizing that their endorsement was instrumental in her appointment.

“Without them, I wouldn’t have been where I am today,” she said.

The MCE acknowledged that she is still in a learning phase but expressed confidence that she will quickly adjust to the demands of her new role.

On development in the municipality, Madam Appiah Kannin revealed that she has cut sod for three major projects that were left unattended by the previous administration. These include the road from Bediem to Saaso, where construction is currently underway.

She also disclosed that President Mahama has authorized the release of the District Assembly Common Fund to be used for its designated purposes. These include the construction of classroom blocks, toilet facilities for school children, boreholes, and the much-anticipated 24-hour economy market initiative.

Madam Appiah Kannin reaffirmed her commitment to working tirelessly to meet the developmental needs of the people in Obuasi West.
