Wedding Celebration Ends In Tears As Three Brothers Die

A wedding celebration at Kade in the Eastern Region has ended in tragedy after three brothers lost their lives in a fatal motor accident at the Kade C4C Junction on Monday, September 14, 2026.
The deceased have been identified as Abubakar Kamiru, 26, Bashiru Fataw, 21, and Seidu Shamsu, 17, all brothers from the same family at Kade.
According to family members and eyewitnesses, Abubakar, who had just gotten married, was travelling on a motorcycle with his two younger brothers to welcome his newly-wedded wife, who was reportedly returning home in a car.
The three brothers were said to have been excited about the wedding and were allegedly travelling at high speed when they crashed into a faulty Tata bus with registration number GT 9288H, which had been parked along the road at the C4C Junction.
The impact was reportedly severe, leaving all three brothers critically injured.
Residents who rushed to the scene quickly conveyed the victims to the Kade Government Hospital, where medical officers pronounced them dead on arrival.
The deaths have plunged the bereaved family, the newly-wedded bride and residents of the Kade C4C community into deep shock and sorrow.
What was supposed to be a joyous occasion marking Abubakar’s marriage was suddenly turned into a period of mourning, with the family struggling to come to terms with the loss of three members.
The Kade Police have since visited the scene and commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
The bodies have been deposited at the Kade Government Hospital mortuary pending burial arrangements.
The bereaved family is expected to conduct the burials in accordance with Islamic customs.
The tragedy has also renewed calls on motorists and motorcycle riders to avoid speeding and exercise extreme caution on the roads to help prevent avoidable accidents and loss of lives.
