Atwima Kwanwoma DCE Salutes Stakeholders After National Prayer Service

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima Kwanwoma, Hon. Grace Asamoah Agyemang, has expressed appreciation to all stakeholders who participated in the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving Service held at the forecourt of the Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly at Twedie.
The event, which formed part of the nationwide observance of the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving on Wednesday, July 1, brought together traditional rulers, the clergy, Chief Imams, Assembly Members, Heads of Departments, staff of the Assembly, security personnel, members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and residents to pray for peace, unity and national development.
The programme was marked by Christian and Islamic prayers, worship, scripture readings and exhortations, with participants committing the nation, its leadership and the people into God’s hands.
Delivering the sermon, Reverend Elisha Abu of ICBC, Atasomanso, urged Ghanaians to remain steadfast in prayer for the nation, stressing that continuous intercession would preserve the peace and unity the country enjoys. Quoting 2 Timothy 2:1-2, he described the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving instituted by President John Dramani Mahama as a laudable initiative that would help strengthen the nation’s spiritual foundation.
Special prayers were offered for President John Dramani Mahama, the government, traditional authorities, the security services and the economic transformation of the country.
In a statement issued after the programme, Hon. Grace Asamoah Agyemang thanked all those who attended and contributed to the success of the event.
She particularly expressed gratitude to Nananom, the clergy, Chief Imams, Honourable Assembly Members, Heads of Departments, staff of the Assembly, the NDC fraternity and all stakeholders for their support, commitment and active participation.
According to her, their presence and prayers made the occasion a meaningful moment of unity, reflection and thanksgiving.
The DCE said the overwhelming support demonstrated the collective resolve of the people to work together towards sustaining peace and accelerating the development of the Atwima Kwanwoma District and the country as a whole.
She prayed for God’s abundant blessings, wisdom, strength and good health for all participants as they continue to contribute to the growth and progress of the district.
