Man Burnt To Death After Allegedly Killing Wife

A 50-year-old man, Kwame Jack, has allegedly been burnt to death by irate youth at Brodi in the Tain District of the Bono Region after he was accused of killing his 43-year-old wife, Abena Donkor.

The incident reportedly occurred on Monday night following a misunderstanding between the couple.

According to reports, Jack allegedly attacked and killed his wife before fleeing the community.

His disappearance subsequently triggered a search by some youth in Brodi, who combed nearby bushes in an attempt to locate him.

The search reportedly ended at the Brodi Cemetery, where Jack’s body was discovered on Tuesday.

A community source confirmed the discovery, saying, “The youth at Brodi rushed to the bush and searched for him. We saw the body at Brodi Cemetery this afternoon and he was dead.”

Reports indicate that the youth allegedly set Jack ablaze after finding him, resulting in his death.

The circumstances leading to the alleged killing of Abena Donkor, as well as the events surrounding Jack’s death, are currently being investigated by the police.

The bodies of both Jack and his wife have since been deposited at the Nsawkaw Government Hospital Mortuary for preservation and further investigations.

The Nsawkaw Police have taken up the case and commenced investigations into the incident.

Police have appealed to residents to remain calm and cooperate with investigators, stressing the need for people to refrain from taking the law into their own hands.
