NDC Poll: Aspiring Chairman Calls For No Violence

An aspiring Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency, Solomon Jabari, has appealed to party supporters and fellow aspirants to shun violence, insults and intimidation ahead of the upcoming constituency elections.

Mr. Jabari made the appeal on Friday, September 25, 2026, after successfully going through the vetting process.

He has been placed at Number One on the ballot paper for the chairmanship contest.

Speaking after the vetting, Mr. Jabari said violence should have no place in the internal democratic processes of the NDC, urging all aspirants and their supporters to conduct their campaigns peacefully.

According to him, contestants should focus on their vision and programmes for the constituency rather than engaging in insults, personal attacks and other acts that could create tension among party members.

“Violence should be a thing of the past,” he said, adding that the various aspirants must tell delegates what they intend to do to strengthen the party and help maintain the NDC in power.

He also urged his opponents to use the campaign period to present their ideas and plans to the delegates and allow them to make their choice freely.

Mr. Jabari stressed the need for unity among party members, noting that the aspirants and their supporters would remain members of the same party after the elections.

He therefore appealed to the delegates and supporters to remain calm, respect one another and ensure that the constituency elections are conducted in a peaceful and transparent manner.

He said his ambition was to contribute to building a stronger and more united NDC in the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency.
