One-Week Observation For Late Essienimpong Queen Mother Set For Thursday

A one-week observation for the late Queen Mother of Essienimpong, Nana Ama Akyeampomaah III, popularly known in public life as Madam Mercy Boadi, will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the Methodist School Park in Essienimpong from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The revered traditional ruler and retired professional teacher passed away at the age of 68, leaving behind a legacy of dedicated service to education and community development.

Born on April 10, 1959, at Essienimpong, Nana Ama Akyeampomaah III was the daughter of Nana Ama Akyeampomaah II, the then Queen Mother of Essienimpong, and Opanin Kwadwo Boadi, both of blessed memory.
She completed her basic education at Essienimpong in 1977 before furthering her studies at OLA Training College in Cape Coast, where she qualified as a professional teacher in 1987.

Throughout her teaching career, she served in several communities, including Essienimpong, Boankra and Konya-Agona, before retiring from active service at Bantama Methodist Primary School in Kumasi in 2019.
Widely respected for her commitment to education, traditional leadership and the welfare of her people, Nana Ama Akyeampomaah III earned the admiration of many within and beyond her community.

sympathisers and the general public to attend the one-week observation and celebrate the life of the late Queen Mother, whose contributions to society will be remembered for generations.
