One Dead, Two Injured in Crash at Akrokerri Junction
A deadly accident at Adansi Akrokerri Junction on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, has left one person dead and two others seriously injured.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) reports that the crash happened when a Hyundai minivan (AS 8655-20) attempted to overtake another vehicle and collided head-on with an oncoming Hyundai truck (AS 3948-24).
The minivan driver died on the spot due to the impact.
A rescue team from the Fomena Fire Station, led by LFM Boateng, removed the deceased driver from the wreckage and handed the body over to the police.
GNFS added that the two occupants of the truck had already been taken to the hospital with severe injuries before firefighters arrived. Both vehicles were badly damaged, with the truck ending up in a ditch after the collision.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
