Two Asomdwie Rubber Workers Found Dead in Parked Car at Agogo

A cloud of mystery hangs over Atonsu Agogo in the Ashanti Region after two employees of the Chinese-owned Asomdwie Rubber Company were discovered dead in a parked vehicle at the premises of a local shoe factory.
The deceased, identified only as Baba and a female colleague whose name is yet to be confirmed, were found on the back seat of Baba’s car on Monday, November 24. Police officers, who were called to the scene after residents reported a strong stench, broke the car windows to gain access and found the two lifeless bodies. The woman’s head was resting on Baba’s, and Baba was clad only in a singlet and a pair of shorts. The vehicle’s tinted windows were rolled up and the doors locked.
Both individuals worked with Asomdwie Rubber Company, which operates a plastic processing unit in the area. Baba was a senior staffer, while the female worker had joined the company less than two months ago.
Information gathered by Swiftnews3 indicates that staff of the company had attended the wedding of one of their managers on Saturday, November 22, where both deceased persons were present. Later that evening, the young woman reported for her night shift but complained of feeling unwell and was advised to return home.
Residents say they saw Baba’s vehicle enter the shoe factory enclave around 8 p.m. on Saturday, with the engine initially running. The car remained parked in the same spot through Sunday, November 23, raising no alarm until the unpleasant smell drew attention the following morning.
Further checks revealed that Baba had married in August this year and was expecting a child with his wife. The female worker, on the other hand, was said to be preparing for her wedding in December.
Police have since conveyed the bodies to the morgue, while investigations have begun to unravel the circumstances surrounding the strange deaths.
