Honour Your Pastors as God’s Representative, Clergyman Tells Christians

The Founder and Leader of the House of Revival at Fawode in the Ashanti Region, Apostle Emmanuel Kusi Boateng, has emphasized the need for Christians to honour and support their spiritual fathers, describing pastors as the “mouthpiece of God” to their congregations.

Speaking as the guest preacher at the Father’s Appreciation Service organized by the Fire Trinity Ministry International (FTMI) at Aburaso in the Atwima Kwanwoma District, Apostle Kusi Boateng noted that head pastors are divine representatives who connect believers to God and play a crucial role in guiding them toward salvation.
Quoting from John 12:28, he said, “Pastors are God’s voice to their congregation, and through them, the will of God is made known. Whatever we give to our head pastors is not to man but to God Himself.”

The service was held in honour of Apostle Dr. George Amoako Alhassan, the General Overseer of FTMI, for his years of dedicated service to the Kingdom of God. The event, themed “Honouring Your Father” with a reference from Hebrews 13:7, brought together ministers of the gospel, church members, and well-wishers from across the region to celebrate the leadership and mentorship of Apostle Alhassan.
Apostle Kusi Boateng admonished believers not to neglect the needs of their spiritual fathers, stressing that “it is very bad to see your father lacking or in need without making any effort to help.” He explained that showing appreciation to one’s pastor through giving and service is an act that attracts divine blessings in due season.

Drawing inspiration from 2 Timothy 3:14–17 and Galatians 6:9, he encouraged the congregation not to grow weary in doing good, assuring them that “whatever is given to the fathers piles up blessings which are released from the heavens in their due time.”

He added that appreciation and honour toward spiritual leaders strengthen the bond between the shepherd and the flock, fostering spiritual growth, discipline, and continuity in the work of God.

The colourful event was marked by songs of praise and presentations to Apostle Dr. George Amoako Alhassan, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the church and visiting ministers for their love and support.
