COKA Pledges to Build Ashanti NPP Office

Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, widely known as COKA, has pledged to construct a permanent office for the Ashanti Regional branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) if elected the party’s Regional Chairman.
Speaking on Lawson TV/FM’s Ghana Se Sen programme hosted by Kwame Tanko on Monday, July 13, COKA said he would cut the sod for the construction of the regional party office within his first three months in office.
According to him, the Ashanti Regional NPP deserves a befitting office, and he is committed to ensuring the project becomes a reality if given the mandate.
When asked by the host whether the incumbent Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, had failed by not constructing a regional office during his tenure, COKA declined to criticise him.
He said he harbours no grudge against Chairman Wontumi, insisting that the incumbent had also made significant contributions to the growth and success of the party in the Ashanti Region.
COKA cited the biblical account of King David, who desired to build a temple for God but was unable to do so, with the task eventually being completed by his son, King Solomon.
He explained that, in the same way, although Chairman Wontumi may not have built a regional office, he could be the one to fulfil that vision if elected.
COKA further pledged to unite the rank and file of the party in the Ashanti Region and work tirelessly to help the NPP recapture political power from the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2028 general election.
