The event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly premises.
According to an official announcement from the Office of the District Chief Executive, this year’s observance is on the theme, “Resetting Our Values to Build the Ghana We Want.” The programme forms part of nationwide activities aimed at promoting unity, peace, patriotism and national development through prayer and thanksgiving.
Residents attending the event have also been encouraged to wear the Ghana national jersey as a symbol of patriotism and national pride. The campaign is accompanied by the slogan: “Rep Your Ghana Jersey – Wear It With Pride, Live It With Purpose.”
The DCE expressed optimism that the event would provide an opportunity for residents, religious leaders, traditional authorities and other stakeholders to unite in prayer for Ghana’s continued peace, stability and prosperity.
The National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving is expected to bring together people from different religious backgrounds to offer prayers for the country’s progress and reaffirm their commitment to building a better Ghana.
