Two Found Dead in Nsuta Room

Residents of Nsuta in the Sekyere Central District of the Ashanti Region are in shock after two people were found dead in a room under mysterious circumstances.

The deceased have been identified as Emmanuel Kwarteng, popularly known as “Puka,” a mobile phone repairer and owner of No Fears Mobile Hospital, and Juliet, a hairdressing apprentice at Lily Frimps Salon at Birim near Nsuta.

The incident reportedly happened after the two spent Saturday night together at Emmanuel’s residence during a power outage caused by heavy rains on June 13, 2026.

A resident, Oheneba Adu Poku, told DAILY GUIDE in a telephone interview that Emmanuel was using a generator to power his phone repair business following the blackout triggered by the downpour.

According to him, Juliet had visited Emmanuel’s shop to have her phone repaired when the area was hit by the outage.

Residents say Emmanuel allegedly moved the generator into the room where he was working, while the space was closed up and an air-conditioner was running.

The next morning, Juliet was found lying motionless on the floor, while Emmanuel’s body was discovered a few metres away.

Though the exact cause of death is not yet known, suspicions are that the pair may have died from inhaling fumes from the generator.

Police have since launched investigations, while the bodies have been deposited at the Mampong Government Hospital mortuary for autopsy.
