Man Stabbed to Death at Kejetia in Suspected Robbery Attack
A man believed to be in his early 40s has been stabbed to death by suspected robbers at Kejetia in Kumasi, Ashanti Region.
The incident happened in the wee hours of Tuesday, May 26, 2026, near the Kumasi Children’s Hospital.
Eyewitnesses say the victim was attacked while walking from the Cultural Centre stretch toward the Kejetia Bus Terminal.
The suspects reportedly attempted to snatch his travelling bag, but the victim resisted, leading to a struggle. He was subsequently stabbed multiple times.
The attackers fled the scene immediately after the incident, leaving the victim critically injured. He was later confirmed dead.
His identity is yet to be established.
Police have since conveyed the body to the morgue of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital(KATH) mortuary for autopsy and preservation
Investigations are underway to arrest those behind the attack.
