Police Probe Viral Video of Alleged Misconduct by Policewoman

The Ashanti North Regional Police Command has launched an investigation into a viral video allegedly showing misconduct by a policewoman at Afrancho in the Akomadan District.

A statement issued by the Command on Sunday, July 5, 2026, said the officer captured in the video has been identified and investigations are underway to establish the facts surrounding the incident, which reportedly occurred on July 3, 2026.

The Police indicated that appropriate action would be taken based on the outcome of the investigations.

“The Police officer involved has been identified and investigation has commenced to establish the full facts and circumstances surrounding the incident,” the statement noted.

The Command assured the public of its commitment to professionalism, discipline and accountability, stressing that further updates would be provided as the investigations progress.

The statement was signed by ASP Emmanuel Agbodzi, Staff Officer and Acting Public Relations Officer for the Ashanti North Regional Police Command.
