Two SHS Graduates Injured In Campus Cutlass Attack

Two students of Christ the King (CTK) Senior High School in Obuasi are receiving treatment after they sustained cutlass wounds during a violent attack by a group of young men suspected to be from the neighbouring communities of Pomposo, Akaporiso and Tutuka.
The incident reportedly occurred on the school campus shortly after final-year students completed their final examination paper, sending students and staff into panic.
According to the Headmaster, Owusu Gyimah, the attackers are believed to have links with a group that includes some students of the school.
He disclosed that the group had on several occasions attempted to enter the campus to harass female students but had always been prevented by members of the school’s cadet corps.
Mr. Gyimah explained that the attackers allegedly identified the cadet leaders who had consistently resisted their activities, leading to what he described as a revenge attack on the school.
The armed men reportedly stormed the campus wielding cutlasses, leaving two students injured and creating fear among both students and teachers.
Police have since visited the school and launched investigations to identify and arrest those responsible for the attack. Although no arrests have been made, some residents claim they can identify individuals suspected to have participated in the incident.
The attack has sparked fresh calls for tighter security at the school, with students and staff urging authorities to deploy a permanent police presence and fence the campus to prevent future invasions.
