Police Arrest ‘Master Pee’ Over Suspected Narcotics at Pankrono

The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested a 45-year-old man, Foster Owusu, popularly known as “Master Pee,” for allegedly possessing substances suspected to be narcotic drugs at Pankrono in the Kumasi Metropolis.
The arrest, according to a police statement issued on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, followed a targeted, intelligence-led operation carried out by the Drug Law Enforcement Unit (DLEU) on April 5.
Police said the operation formed part of efforts to clamp down on illegal drug activities in Pankrono and its surrounding communities.
The suspect, a driver and resident of the area, reportedly attempted to flee after spotting the police.
“He was seen locking up a single-room facility and tried to escape upon noticing police presence but was swiftly apprehended,” the statement said.
A search conducted at the premises led to the discovery of 39 compressed parcels of dried leaves concealed in a “Ghana Must Go” bag, as well as 10 additional parcels found in a black sack.
The police indicated that the substances are suspected to be narcotic drugs and have since been secured as exhibits.
However, in his cautioned statement, Owusu denied ownership of the items, claiming that the room belongs to his girlfriend, identified as Anita, and another woman, Cindy. He insisted that he had only visited the premises.
Authorities further disclosed that the exhibits were sealed and labelled in the presence of the suspect and an independent witness, and will be forwarded to the Police Forensic Science Laboratory in Accra for examination.
The suspect is currently in police custody assisting with investigations, while efforts are underway to locate the other individuals mentioned in the case.
The Ashanti Regional Police Command reiterated its commitment to combating drug-related crimes and urged the public to volunteer credible information to support ongoing operations.
