CSU Community United In Worship At 2025/2026 Opening Ceremony

The Christian Service University (CSU) in Kumasi has opened the 2025/2026 academic year with a Commencement and Communion Service that brought together management, staff, and students in an atmosphere of worship and renewal.
The event, held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, formed part of the University’s Chaplaincy programme and was officiated by the University Chaplain, Rev. Anthony Boateng Agyenim.
Guest preacher, Pastor Emmanuel Dela, an internationally recognized youth and student minister, delivered the sermon on the theme “Focusing on Your Calling” with the sub-theme “Remedy Mission.” He urged students to embrace their divine purpose with faith, discipline, and commitment.
Using the biblical story of Joseph as a case study, Pastor Dela explained that Joseph’s journey—marked by family struggles, leadership lessons in Potiphar’s house, a period of imprisonment, and his eventual rise as a savior of nations—illustrated the value of resilience and steadfastness in fulfilling one’s calling.
“Joseph endured obstructions but remained steadfast. He never sought revenge, but fulfilled God’s purpose with discipline and fortitude,” he emphasized, encouraging students to resist distractions and remain focused.
The service featured the administration of Holy Communion, accompanied by scripture readings from 1 Corinthians 11:23-27, reminding participants of Christ’s sacrifice and the importance of spiritual nourishment.
The programme also coincided with Day Two of the 2025 Students’ Representative Council (SRC) Akwaaba Week, attracting both freshers and continuing students. With praise, worship, and thanksgiving filling the air, the CSU community reaffirmed its commitment to academic excellence grounded in Christian values.
