Kumasi to Host Massive Clean-Up Exercise in Preparation for Royal Visit of the King of Eswatini

In anticipation of the esteemed visit of the Head of State and Kingdom of Eswatini (formerly Swaziland) to His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) will be organizing a massive Clean-up Exercise on Saturday, June 21, 2025.
The Head of State and Kingdom of Eswatini, His Majesty King Mswati III, will visit Kumasi from June 24-28, 2025. The massive clean-up exercise aims to ensure the city of Kumasi is spotless and presentable to honour the distinguished Royal Guest.
To ensure full compliance and successful participation, all shops and commercial establishments in the Central Business Districts (CBDs) are expected to close from 6:00 am to 12:00 noon to facilitate the clean-up.
The KMA urges all residents, businesses, and stakeholders to participate in this initiative. We invite the good people of Kumasi to join hands in making this exercise a success. Together, we can showcase our hospitality, culture, and pride in our clean city.
