Man, 50, Dies Suddenly at Drinking Spot in Denkyemuoso

A 50-year-old man, identified as Erekodo, has died after collapsing at a drinking spot in Denkyemuoso in the Kwadaso Municipality of the Ashanti Region on Easter Monday.

The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. at a chop bar located behind a washing bay in the area. According to eyewitnesses, the deceased suddenly collapsed while at the spot, leaving patrons and residents in a state of shock.

Attempts by bystanders to assist him proved unsuccessful, and he was later confirmed dead. The exact cause of death is yet to be established.

Police have since been informed and are expected to launch investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The body has been deposited at the morgue for preservation and further examination.

The incident has thrown the Denkyemuoso community into mourning, with residents describing the sudden death as painful and unfortunate, especially as it occurred during the Easter festivities.
