CACU Graduates 188 Students

Christ Apostolic University College (CACU) at Kwadaso in the Ashanti Region has held its 11th Congregation, graduating 188 students in various disciplines.

The ceremony, held over the weekend, was on the theme “Sustainable Minds, Sustainable Leadership for Greener Tomorrow.”

The Chancellor of CACU, Apostle Samuel Amponsah Frimpong, congratulated the graduates for their perseverance, discipline and determination which enabled them to reach the important milestone in their academic journey.

According to him, the congregation ceremony does not only mark the end of an academic programme but also signals the beginning of a new chapter of responsibility, opportunity and service to society.

He commended the lecturers of the institution for their dedication in imparting knowledge, guiding research and mentoring students throughout their academic journey.

Touching on the theme, Apostle Frimpong, who is also the Chairman of Christ Apostolic Church International (CACI), described it as timely and significant, especially for a generation preparing to enter a rapidly changing world.

He noted that innovation has become a necessity rather than an option in the modern world and urged the graduates to position themselves to respond to emerging global challenges.

He stated that as a faith-based institution, CACU is committed to producing graduates who combine academic excellence with moral responsibility and strong spiritual values.

“Our vision is to develop leaders who will transform society through knowledge, faith and service,” he stressed.

Apostle Frimpong further assured that CACI remains committed to supporting national development and continues to partner the government in its development agenda.

He emphasised that education plays a vital role in national transformation and institutions like CACU are crucial in raising ethical leaders and innovators for the country.

He advised the graduates to remember that education does not end with graduation, explaining that learning is a lifelong process.

“The world is constantly changing, and those who succeed are those who continue to learn, adapt and grow,” he said.

The Overall Best Student award went to Ebenezer Kofi Sekyi Arhinful, who graduated with a CGPA of 3.83. He was also adjudged the Best Student in the School of Theology.

Other award winners included Tawiah Francis Arthur as Best Student in the School of Business, Patricia Akyerem as Best Student in the School of Education, and Juliana Agyemang as Best Student in the School of Technology.

Speaking on behalf of the Chief of Staff, Seth Terkper, Presidential Advisor on the Economy, described the occasion as a transition from learning to leadership.

According to him, the theme of the congregation aligns with Ghana’s quest for sustainable development and responsible leadership.

He noted that the country’s development requires balancing economic growth with environmental protection while considering the welfare of future generations.

Mr. Terkper urged the graduates to become agents of sustainable change by developing innovative solutions that promote responsible economic growth.

He encouraged them to build businesses that create value while protecting the environment, design policies that safeguard the vulnerable, and adopt agricultural practices that ensure food security without degrading natural resources.

Delivering the valedictory address, Ebenezer Kofi Sekyi Arhinful expressed gratitude to the management and lecturers of CACU for creating an academic environment grounded in discipline, excellence and godly values.

He also thanked parents and guardians for their sacrifices, prayers and encouragement throughout their academic journey.

Mr. Sekyi urged his fellow graduates to focus on impact and service rather than merely academic achievements.

He added that resilience, faith and hard work were key ingredients to success and encouraged his colleagues to carry the values instilled in them by CACU into the next stage of their lives.
