Atwima Kwanwoma DCE Wins International Leadership Award in Rwanda

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Atwima Kwanwoma District, Hon. Grace Agyemang Asamoah, has received another prestigious international honour, marking the third award she has secured within ten months of assuming office.
Hon. Agyemang Asamoah received the recognition in the city of Kigali, Rwanda, during a colourful ceremony held at the M Hotel Kigali. She was named “Most Outstanding Female Leader in Local Governance and Public Service Administration.”

The award was presented by the Business Executive Group during the 3rd edition of the She Achievers Award, an international platform that recognises exceptional women who demonstrate excellence, influence, and dedication in leadership and professional service across various sectors.
In her acceptance speech, Hon. Agyemang Asamoah expressed profound gratitude to the organisers for recognising her efforts and dedication to public service. She noted that true leadership should not only be measured by institutional or corporate achievements but also by the number of lives positively impacted through service and commitment.
According to her, leadership must be people-centred and driven by a genuine desire to bring meaningful development and transformation to communities.
She also used the occasion to encourage women across Africa and beyond to remain resilient and committed to their ambitions, regardless of their background or current circumstances.
“Women must continue to push harder and remain determined in whatever field they find themselves. Where one comes from should never limit the heights one can attain. Hard work always brings rewards,” she stated.
The DCE further commended the organisers for creating a global recognition platform that highlights the contributions of women making significant impacts in governance, business, and public administration.
Hon. Agyemang Asamoah was accompanied to the ceremony by the District Coordinating Director for the Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly, Alhaji Mohammed Shaibu, along with other officials from the Assembly.

She also expressed appreciation to the President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, for the confidence reposed in her and for the opportunity to serve as District Chief Executive.
Hon. Agyemang Asamoah reaffirmed her commitment to working closely with stakeholders and residents of the district to advance development and improve the living conditions of the people.
The latest award further strengthens her growing reputation as a dynamic and impactful leader in local governance, whose dedication to public service continues to attract both national and international recognition.
