Muslim Peace Committee Condemns Alleged Attack on Iran

The Muslim Peace and Reconciliation Committee, operating under the auspices of the Ashanti Regional Chief Imam, has condemned what it describes as an unprovoked attack by the United States and Israel on the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In a statement jointly signed by its Chairman, Sheikh Ridwan Mohammed Kudi Bawasaba, and General Secretary, Ustaz Burhanu Deen Babal Waiz, the Committee also expressed sorrow over the reported assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Al-Khamini.
The Committee conveyed its deepest condolences to Muslims worldwide, particularly to the people of Iran, describing the incident as a painful loss. It further criticised the alleged attack as a blatant disregard for human life and international law.
According to the statement, the timing of the incident during the Holy Month of Ramadan makes the development even more disturbing.
The Committee also condemned the alleged involvement of certain Arab countries in the Middle East, accusing them of allowing their airspace to be used for the operation. It described such actions as a betrayal of the Muslim Ummah and a violation of international norms.
Calling the act “Zulm” and inhumane, the Committee urged the United States and Israel to declare an immediate ceasefire to prevent further escalation of tensions in the Middle East.
It appealed to all parties to prioritise diplomacy and peaceful dialogue in resolving the conflict and reaffirmed its solidarity with the people of Iran and the Muslim Ummah during this challenging period.
