Two Dead, One Critical in Dwansa Junction Motorbike Crash

Two persons have been confirmed dead, with another in critical condition, following a motorbike accident at Dwansa Junction in the Sekyere Central District of the Ashanti Region.
The incident occurred around 5:00pm on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, involving two motorcycles—one traveling from the Beposo area and the other from Nsuta carrying two passengers.
Reports indicate that the two motorbikes collided head-on, leading to severe damage. The rider from the Beposo side died instantly, while one of the two occupants on the Nsuta-bound motorbike was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. The other victim is currently receiving critical care.
Assembly Member for the Beposo East Electoral Area, Samuel Kodua, confirmed the incident and explained that the crash occurred after the motorbike from Beposo allegedly veered into the lane of the oncoming motorcycle from Nsuta.
“The rider from Beposo died on the spot, and one of the two passengers from Nsuta also died at the hospital, leaving one person in critical condition. Both motorbikes were badly damaged,” he stated.
Mr. Kodua further noted that accidents have become frequent on the Beposo–Mampong road stretch since its reconstruction and appealed to riders to exercise caution to help prevent further tragedies.
