7-Year-Old Girl Dies, Two Siblings Injured In Okada Accident At Adankwame

A heartbreaking road accident has resulted in the death of a seven-year-old girl and left her two siblings seriously injured at Adankwame in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region.
Reports indicate that the incident occurred when an Okada rider lost control and knocked down three children who were standing by the roadside in front of the Adankwame Police Station. The deceased has been identified as Rasmiya Abdul Rahaman, aged seven. Her siblings, Rasmid Abdul Rahaman, aged seven, and Musharraf Abdul Rahaman, aged eleven, sustained various injuries.
Speaking to Swiftnews3, the father of the victims, Musah Yussiff, confirmed the death of his daughter. He disclosed that the two surviving children are currently receiving medical treatment.
An eyewitness told Swiftnews3 that the children were waiting by the roadside to cross when the okada rider veered off and ran into them. Police are yet to determine the exact cause of the accident.
Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been conveyed to the family house in accordance with Islamic customs, pending police clearance for burial. The okada rider, who also sustained injuries, is receiving treatment at the Asuofua Government Hospital.
