Shock as Man Allegedly Buries Prophetess in Bedroom

Residents of Twifo Nuamakrom in the Twifo Atti-Morkwa District of the Central Region have been thrown into a state of shock and fear following the arrest of a 44-year-old man, Kweku Charles, for allegedly burying an elderly prophetess in her bedroom.
The deceased, identified as Esther Bolu, an 80-year-old Nigerian national, was the founder and leader of the Miracles Prayer Centre at Twifo Nuamakrom. Reports indicate that she had been battling a prolonged illness before her death.
According to information gathered, Kweku Charles initially visited the prayer camp in search of spiritual healing but later assumed control of the administration and day-to-day running of the church as the prophetess’ health deteriorated. Some residents have alleged that the suspect had an amorous relationship with the deceased, although this claim has not been officially confirmed.
It is further alleged that after the prophetess passed away, Kweku Charles secretly buried her body in a bedroom within their residence without informing her family, church leaders, or the appropriate community authorities.
Suspicion was raised after residents noticed that Esther Bolu had not been seen in public for over two weeks. When questioned, the suspect claimed he had sent her to Accra for medical treatment. However, inconsistencies in his explanation heightened concerns within the community.
The situation escalated when Kweku Charles allegedly attempted to flee during further questioning. This prompted residents to search the house, leading to the discovery of a body buried in one of the bedrooms.
The elders of Twifo Nuamakrom reported the matter to the Twifo Praso Police, who swiftly arrested the suspect. Environmental Health Officers have since been directed to exhume the body to aid ongoing investigations.
Kweku Charles remains in police custody as investigations continue to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the death and secret burial of the prophetess.
