US Missionary Family Targets Atwima Kwanwoma for Education, Sports and Evangelism Project
The Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly is set to benefit from a major education and sports initiative following the visit of a US-based missionary family to the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Mrs. Grace Agyemang Asamoah.
Pastor Tave Close and his wife, Mrs. Hieather Close, from Florida, USA, paid a courtesy call on the DCE at her office to formally present their vision for the district. The delegation was led by Hon. Maxwell Donkor, who introduced the visitors and outlined the purpose of the engagement.
During the meeting, the couple disclosed plans to acquire a 10-acre parcel of land at Apemanim–Kokoben to establish a comprehensive educational institution, spanning from crèche to university level. The proposed project will also feature a modern sports complex aimed at promoting youth development and nurturing sporting talents within the district.
According to the visiting family, the initiative is designed to improve access to quality education, support youth empowerment, and contribute to the overall socio-economic development of the area.
Beyond education and sports, Pastor Close and his wife indicated that they would also use the opportunity to carry out missionary work. This includes plans to establish a local church to support spiritual growth and promote strong moral values among residents.
Hon. Mrs. Grace Agyemang Asamoah welcomed the delegation and praised them for their forward-looking vision. She assured the family of the Assembly’s commitment to providing the necessary support and collaboration to ensure the successful implementation of the project.
The DCE noted that the proposed initiative aligns with the district’s development priorities and emphasized that partnerships with development-oriented individuals and organizations are key to accelerating growth and achieving sustainable development in Atwima Kwanwoma.
