Faithful Stewardship Key to National Development – PCC

The Pentecostal Church of Christ (PCC) has declared the year 2026 as “My Year of Faithful Stewardship,” emphasizing that faithfulness and loyalty in leadership are essential to Ghana’s national development.

The announcement was made by the Senior Pastor and General Secretary of the Church, Ordained Twum Barima, following a period of prayer and reflection. He explained that the theme is taken from Matthew 25:23, which underscores the reward that comes with diligence and faithfulness.

Quoting the scripture, Pastor Twum Barima said: “His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.’”

He recalled that the theme for 2025 was “Possessing Our Possession,” drawn from Obadiah 1:17, and expressed gratitude to God for guiding the church successfully through the year.

Pastor Twum Barima used the occasion to commend the leadership of the Pentecostal Church of Christ, including elders, apostles, senior pastors, deacons and deaconesses, for their dedication and selfless service to the growth of the church.

According to him, the theme of Faithful Stewardship is not limited to the church but extends to societies, communities, towns, nations and all forms of leadership, both public and private.

He noted that the church is using the theme to encourage people to remain faithful in the various offices and responsibilities entrusted to them, stressing that development thrives where faithfulness is upheld.

Drawing lessons from the biblical parable of the talents, Pastor Twum Barima explained that while the servants who were faithful doubled what they were given, the servant who despised his single talent failed to make progress.

He therefore urged Ghanaians to remain faithful in 2026 — to themselves, their families, their churches and the nation as a whole.

Touching on national leadership, the PCC General Secretary described faithfulness as synonymous with loyalty and called on leaders at all levels to be loyal stewards of the nation’s resources.

He observed that God has blessed Ghana with abundant natural resources such as gold, diamonds, manganese and cocoa, and urged leaders to manage these resources faithfully so that greater opportunities and development will follow.

Pastor Twum Barima also commended His Excellency John Dramani Mahama for what he described as the good works he has been doing, expressing confidence that God will grant him and his leadership team the strength and wisdom to continue serving the nation.

He concluded by calling on all leaders and citizens to embrace faithful stewardship as a guiding principle for national progress in the coming year.
