Agogoso Assembly Member Brightens New Year for 150 Widows and Elderly

In a heartwarming gesture to kickstart 2026, Hon. Amponsah James, popularly known as Teacher Kofi, the Assembly Member for Agogoso Electoral Area, has distributed sachets of rice, cooking oil, and mackerel worth GH₵20,000 to 150 widows and elderly residents.

The event, held at the Agogoso Roman Catholic Church park, aimed to bring joy and support to some of the most vulnerable members of the community, helping them start the year on a positive note.

Speaking at the occasion, Hon. Teacher Kofi urged the beneficiaries to leave sadness behind and embrace happiness. “This initiative is about spreading joy and hope. I pray it eases your daily struggles and reminds you that you are valued members of our community,” he said.

Several recipients expressed heartfelt gratitude, noting that the gift would go a long way in supporting their daily needs.

The initiative underscores Teacher Kofi’s commitment to the welfare of the vulnerable and reflects his dedication to fostering unity and care within the Agogoso community.
