Young Man Found Dead After Dispute With Sex Worker

A 28-year-old man, Yaw Asamoah, has been found dead in a shocking incident at Abrense, near Atobrakrom, in the Amansie West District of the Ashanti Region.
Information gathered indicates that Asamoah had engaged a commercial sex worker but later lost GH¢1,000 in the process. His attempt to recover the money reportedly resulted in a heated argument between him and the woman.
Two days later, his lifeless body was discovered in an abandoned mining pit, sparking tension and suspicion among residents. Many believe the deceased may have been attacked by the sex worker and her associates.
Police at Manso Nkwanta have since arrested two suspects believed to be connected to the incident. They are currently assisting with investigations.
Hon. Samuel Yeboah, the Assembly Member for the area, expressed deep concern and anger over the tragedy.
“We saw our brother dead in a galamsey pit two days after the argument. We strongly believe this was not a natural death,” he stated.
He appealed to the police to expedite investigations and ensure that those responsible face the full rigours of the law.
The body of the deceased has since been deposited at the morgue for autopsy as investigations continue.
