MP Shirley Kyei Commissions Borehole for Kyereyaase Community

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency, Hon. Shirley Kyei, has commissioned a mechanized borehole for the people of Kyereyaase in the Ashanti Region.
Access to potable water has long been a major challenge for several communities within the Atwima Nwabiagya Municipality, compelling residents to rely on unsafe sources for their daily domestic use. The newly commissioned facility is expected to bring relief to the Kyereyaase community and improve their living conditions.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Hon. Kyei explained that the project formed part of a campaign promise she made during the 2024 electioneering period. At the time, as the parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), she pledged to provide three mechanized boreholes to selected communities in her constituency.
“So far, we have successfully completed and commissioned one borehole here at Kyereyaase, and I am committed to constructing the remaining two before the end of my tenure in 2028,” she assured.
The MP emphasized that her priority is to ensure improved standards of living for her constituents by addressing basic social needs such as water.
Hon. Shirley Kyei also expressed appreciation to the September to Remember group for their token donation, which supported meals for workers and volunteers who participated in the commissioning exercise.
