GJA Swears In New Ashanti Regional Executives

The Ashanti Regional branch of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has inaugurated its newly elected executives to steer the affairs of the association for the next three years.
At a brief ceremony held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council, Mr. Kofi Adu Domfe was sworn in as Chairman, with Mr. Nicholas Osei-Wusu as Vice Chairman, Ms. Beatrice Spio-Gabra as Secretary, and Dr. Neta Kris Abiana Parsram as Regional Treasurer.
The swearing-in was administered by the GJA National President, Mr. Albert Dwumfour, who urged the new leadership to work as a team, strengthen unity among members, and give voice to the marginalized in society. He also encouraged them to elevate the association’s relevance in the region through professionalism and service.
The event brought together journalists across the region as well as representatives from state institutions and private sector bodies, including the Ghana Police Service, MTN Ghana, Electricity Company of Ghana, and Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
In his acceptance remarks, Mr. Adu Domfe expressed gratitude to members for the confidence reposed in the new executives. He pledged to promote unity, inclusivity, and progress, stressing that the leadership would remain committed to the welfare of journalists in the region.
