Two Dead, Several Injured in SDA Church Accident on Kumasi–Bechem Highway

Two members of the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church at Aburaso have died, and several others, including children, are in critical condition after a crash on the Kumasi–Bechem Highway on Sunday, August 10, 2025.

Eyewitnesses say the victims were seated along the roadside when a commercial bus (AS 6255-18) veered off after a tyre burst. A church elder was among those killed.

Witness Agyei Boateng Douglas revealed that passing vehicles refused to stop and help until a tricycle driver transported the injured to the hospital. Two victims were pronounced dead at Adugyama Hospital, while others were transferred to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for emergency care.

Police are investigating the incident.
