Asantehene Announces Death of Asantehemaa Nana Konadu Yiadom III

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has officially informed the Asanteman Council of the passing of the Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III.

The queen mother, who reigned for eight years, died at the age of 91. She is remembered for her wisdom, commitment to community development, and dedication to preserving Ashanti traditions.

Making the customary announcement at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II revealed that the one-week observation will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the Forecourt of the Manhyia Palace.

The ceremony is expected to attract traditional leaders, government officials, and mourners from across Ghana and beyond, as Asanteman comes together to honor the life and legacy of its late royal matriarch.
