Mother of Six Shot Dead in Bedroom
A 40-year-old mother of six has been shot and killed in her sleep by an unknown assailant at Bokruwaa, a quiet farming community near Sabronum in the Ahafo Ano South East District of the Ashanti Region.
The tragic incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, August 7, 2025, and has left residents stunned and fearful.
According to the deceased’s brother, Emmanuel Kyei, the woman’s children discovered her lifeless body around 6:00 a.m., lying in a pool of blood on her bed with a gunshot wound to the head.
“She always wakes up early, but that morning she hadn’t. Her children went in to check on her and found her dead,” Mr. Kyei stated. “Her phone was still on the pillow, and nothing appeared to be missing from the room.”
The woman was reportedly alone at the time, as her husband had travelled out of town.
Police in Sabronum have begun investigations into the incident, although no arrests have been made yet. The body had not yet been conveyed to the morgue at the time of filing this report.
Residents, described by locals as visibly shaken, say the victim was a well-known and respected member of the community.
Family members are calling for swift justice as authorities work to unravel the motive behind the killing.
