Asante Kotoko Sign Guinean Forward Morifing Donzo on Three-Year Deal

Asante Kotoko have bolstered their attacking options ahead of the 2025/26 football season with the signing of Guinean forward Morifing Donzo.

The 27-year-old joins the Porcupine Warriors on a three-year contract from Guinean side Hafia FC, bringing a wealth of continental experience, having previously played in both the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup.

The Kumasi-based giants announced the deal on Monday, stating that the transfer is subject to a work permit approval.

“Asante Kotoko is delighted to announce the signing of Guinean forward Morifing Donzo on a three-year deal, following the successful completion of his medical. The deal is subject to the approval of his work permit,” the club said in an official statement.

Donzo’s arrival forms part of Kotoko’s wider recruitment drive as they look to reclaim the Ghana Premier League title, which they narrowly missed out on last season. The club, however, ended the campaign on a high by winning the 2024/25 MTN FA Cup.

With pre-season preparations underway, Donzo’s addition is expected to boost Kotoko’s frontline and add more firepower as they aim for domestic and continental success.
