Man Stabbed to Death at Newly Opened China City Mall, Santasi
Tragedy struck at the newly opened China City Mall in Santasi, Kumasi, when a staff member was allegedly stabbed to death by a colleague following a misunderstanding at work.
The incident occurred on the mall’s premises on Saturday morning, July 26, 2025. While the cause of the altercation is still unknown, eyewitnesses reported that workers raised an alarm after the attack.
The victim, yet to be identified, was found in a pool of blood and rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The shocking incident drew the attention of some youth in the Santasi area, who besieged the scene and attempted to lynch the suspect, firing warning shots in protest.
Police have since arrested the suspect and have launched an investigation into the case.
China City Mall, which recently opened to the public, has now become the focus of safety concerns following this gruesome act.
