Christian Service University Named Most Outstanding Private University in Ashanti Region

Christian Service University (CSU) has been honoured as the Most Outstanding Private University in the Ashanti Region at the 2025 Ashanti Business Merit Awards (ABMA). The ceremony, held on Friday, July 18, at the Lancaster Hotel in Kumasi, brought together business leaders, public officials, academics, and media representatives.

This recognition, which highlights excellence across corporate and institutional sectors in Ghana, marks the second edition of the ABMA. CSU emerged as the winner after a rigorous selection process involving expert assessments, independent research, and a final review by a distinguished jury panel.

The award acknowledges CSU’s exceptional performance over the past year, particularly its landmark achievement of receiving a Presidential Charter — a milestone that affirms its status as a fully autonomous and accredited higher learning institution.

Professor Samuel K. Afrane, Vice Chancellor of CSU, who received the award on behalf of the university, described the honour as a reflection of the university’s dedication to excellence.

“This award is a testament to our unwavering commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and integrity. It recognises the tireless efforts of our faculty, staff, students, alumni, and partners. We remain focused on transforming lives through Christ-centered education,” he said.

CSU is also preparing to launch its first set of doctoral programmes, including a PhD in Ministry, to deepen its contribution to leadership training and national development.

Meanwhile, admissions are currently open for the 2025/2026 academic year (September Stream), with prospective students encouraged to join a university community built on excellence, service, and integrity.
