Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Victory Congregation Marks 40th Anniversary with Week-Long Celebration

The Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Victory Congregation at Compound in Dunkwa-On-Offin is set to commemorate its 40th Anniversary with a series of spiritually enriching and socially impactful activities beginning Wednesday, July 2, 2025.
The celebration, which will be held on the church premises, is expected to draw numerous dignitaries and members of the wider community. Notable personalities who will grace the opening include Madam Patience Larko Lartey, Headmistress of Dunkwa Secondary Technical SHS; Rev. Peterking Owusu Arthur, Dunkwa District Minister; Oheneba Kojo Sarfo, a respected elder of the church; and Catechist Agyekum Antwi.
The week-long celebration will feature a variety of programs:
Thursday, July 3 – Musical entertainment night
Friday, July 4 – A dedicated time of prayer
Saturday, July 5 – A community clean-up exercise followed by a health screening
Sunday, July 6 – A grand thanksgiving service to offer gratitude to God for His faithfulness over the past four decades
Distinguished guests including the Paramount Chief of Dunkwa, Okoforubour Dr. Obeng Nuako III, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. George Anane Coleman, and the Member of Parliament for Upper Denkyira East, Hon. Emelia Ankomah, are expected to be in attendance during the climax of the celebration.
Rev. Ernest Pipim, Minister-in-Charge of the congregation, highlighted the church’s immense contribution to national development, especially in the areas of education, healthcare, and various social services. He called on the public to join the celebration and support the church’s continuing mission.
