Tema-Based Industrialist condemns consistent attacks on local industries

Dr. William Mensah-Ansah, a prominent Tema-based industrialist, at the weekend expressed deep concerns about the constant barrage of false allegations against local entrepreneurs and Ghanaian-led industries.
According to him, these baseless claims are a significant hindrance to the development of local industries, citing baseless allegations and cases against notable businesses such as Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom’s Nduom Group of Companies, UT Bank, Kasapa, and Kludjerson companies, as well as the Jospong Group of Companies.

To drive home his point, Dr. Mensah-Ansah emphasize the importance of standing up against injustice and promoting positive change, stressed on the call for support for Ghanaian entrepreneurs.
Dr Mensah-Ansah noted that in today’s globalized economy, businesses have transcended local and community-based operations, and any negative publicity can severely impact a company’s growth efforts.
Despite acknowledging the challenges faced by local industries, Dr. Mensah-Ansah commended the Jospong Group of Companies for its resilience and consistency over the past 18 years.
The company has grown from a small Ghanaian enterprise to an African giant, demonstrating the potential for local businesses to thrive with the right support.
Dr. Mensah-Ansah urged the Ghanaian media to support local entrepreneurs and businesses, recognizing the critical role they play in shaping public perception and influencing national development.
By promoting a more balanced and accurate narrative, the media can help foster a more conducive environment for local industries to flourish.
On the benefits of supporting local industries, Dr Mensah-Ansah noted that it will lead to job creation, economic diversification, and increased competitiveness.
He said supporting local industries can have numerous benefits, stressing that local industries can create employment opportunities, contributing to economic growth and development.
